Introduction to the tutoring system

What is tutorship?

Tutorship means systematically guiding students through their studies, not only focusing strictly on their academic development or study difficulties, but also on their personal development.

Purpose of tutoring at FDV:

- Facilitate students' integration into the academic environment.
- Guiding students through the study process and advising on study issues that arise during the study.
- Introducing students to the method of study.
- Informing students about all relevant changes to the rules related to the study process.
- Establishing relationships between participants in the educational process.
- Improving study results.
- Higher quality of studies.

Activities for Master’s programme

Viktoria Krusharova - Student tutor for the Bachelor's programme

I am a third year student of Social Informatics, which means that I have already taken the first steps on the path of academic knowledge that I have acquired at the Faculty of Social Sciences. In addition to my studies, I am also an active member of the DID student society and the FSS Student Council, so I am no stranger to student issues, which allows me to better understand the challenges that students face.

I am looking forward to meeting new students, as I am convinced that the formation of student communities is crucial for success at the faculty. That is why I am always ready to listen to questions, share my experiences and offer help to students if they need it.

Inya Kaya Vidmajer - Student tutor for the Bachelor's programme

I am a third year student of Social Informatics: I enrolled in this programme mainly because I am very interested in the interdisciplinarity and breadth that you get from your studies. Last year I was an active member of the DID student society, which gave me a lot of knowledge about the workings of the Faculty. It is important to me to make the study process as easy as possible for new students and to integrate them into student life as soon as possible. That's where we, the tutors, come in.

I want us tutors to be able to help as many students as possible with any dilemmas they may have, so I am always available for any questions they may have. I am a very sociable and outgoing person myself, so I am looking forward to this new experience and to meeting the students.

Ema Čampa – Student tutor for the Master's programme

I am just starting my Master's degree in Social Informatics, but I was already a Social Informatics student here during my undergraduate studies. Therefore, I am very familiar with both student and academic life at the FSS. In addition to my studies, I am also involved with the Centre for Social Informatics, supporting various academic research projects.

Emil Emil Polajnar - Professor tutor

I am an assistant professor of statistics at the Department of Social Informatics and Methodology, where I teach Statistics and Statistics in Data Analytics. Out of love for working with students and a desire to help others, I decided to become a professor tutor and thus open the door to any student questions, to help understand the material, or simply for an entertaining visit.
